gigazyme® is an enzymatic cleaning concentrate for the manual reprocessing of medical devices, such as flexible endoscopes and surgical instruments. Enzyme & surfactant power: The optimum combination of high-quality enzymes (protease = breaks down proteins, lipase = dissolves fatty soiling, amylase = removes polysaccharides) and an innovative surfactant system results in excellent cleaning of all types of thermostable and thermolabile medical devices with outstanding material compatibility.

Instructions for use

gigazyme® can be used in immersion baths or ultrasonic baths.

Dosage:

gigazyme® is a concentrate and is diluted with water to the desired application concentration. Water temperature < 45 °C to avoid protein denaturation. The dosage depends on the type of reprocessing and the degree of soiling of the instruments. The following parameters are recommended when using gigazyme®:

For normal soiling: 0.5 - 2 % (1 litre of a 1 % solution corresponds to 990 ml water and 10 ml gigazyme®).

For heavy soiling, up to 5 %. Place the instruments to be cleaned in the working solution. Ensure complete wetting, also for hollow instruments, and allow to act until the instruments are visually clean. After cleaning, rinse/flush the medical devices thoroughly with water of at least drinking water quality to completely remove residues of the solution.

Standing time:

It is recommended to renew the working solution at least every working day or immediately in case of visible contamination.
