To cleanse the eyes after contact with hazardous substances in the laboratory. The bottle should be filled with clear, distilled water. Squeezing the bottle causes water to rise into the eye cup, thus cleansing the eye with a fine stream of water. Used water drains out through a tube attached to the side of the eye cup. Ready for use wherever there is a danger of eye injury.
